"There are lots of stories I could tell about the many ways in which Pennebaker has helped me win cases over the past 20 years. This one expresses it best, for me. It's 7:30 am in a small west Texas town and we've been trying this case for two and a half months. The plaintiffs want $ 70+ MM. Today we have closing argument. I have the graphics presentation Pennebaker prepared (late into the night) ready. We turn on the projector and the bulb's burned out. No problem, says Pennebaker, we've got an extra, we sweat the details. Show goes on. Verdict: plaintiffs' take nothing."

On-site for an 11-Month Arbitration
Pennebaker assisted with an 11-month long arbitration between two Fortune 100 companies with respect to allocation of a large class settlement fund. Among the issues was whether the raw material or the manufactured product was the primary cause of the defective product. Highly technical chemical processes and engineering concepts needed to be communicated to an intelligent, but largely non-technical panel. Pennebaker produced computer animations, videos and graphics to establish the foundation upon which the expert witnesses could better explain their positions to the arbitrators. They also developed and ran the technology during the entire arbitration. Vinson & Elkins obtained a successful outcome for its client.
